Like Sifted Shifting Sands
Like shifting sands through the glass of time
Many change at the drop of a dime
A dime a dozen is how they come and go,
Mostly fickle, their lives a staged show
A show for accolades, “bravo,” “hooray”
Fearing dislike and from others dismay
Dismay for how they are inside
Diabolical mind, filled with self-centered pride
Pride at the ready to burst from its seams
With wicked winks and mischievous schemes
These schemes they naturally with thought invent
For the unassuming soul whose mind they rent
Rents they inflict, committing psychological violence
Hiding in plain sight, while avoiding recompense
But recompense comes on swift wings
Eternal justice from within the Truth rings
Ringing aloud and crying out in wrath against the insanity
Of the covert acts that destroy the harmony of humanity
Humanity in their everlasting home and abode of peace
That existed before the pompous ones’ release
They released toxicity, into the environment leaking
Enticing others to act in the way of self-seeking
But self-seeking destroys the soul within, the pure, gifted essence
Throwing the soul and entire being out of balance
And if balance be no more, no longer can one explore
True beauty of all becomes an eyesore as the egoic mind fills the core
Many choose the egoic, forever in darkness to be
Like sifted sands beneath the cyclical sea
