Love Letter to the Fearful
Fear is the opposite of faith, or should I say the antithesis to it.
The Word of Yahuah tells us that faith is “the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.” Substance and evidence are both tangible things. Therefore, this shows us that faith isn’t simply a belief that something will happen, rather it is the KNOWING that that said thing has already happened or we already have it. For example, a pregnant woman, though she cannot see her baby, she sees her growing stomach and KNOWS that a child is there and that one day she will hold her child in her arms.
Fear, however, is “an emotion caused by the belief that something or someone will cause harm or pain, or is a threat.” It is an emotion that induces anxiety that is not based on anything tangible. It is a belief that something terribly horrible will happen. Unfortunately, this belief can bring about the manifestation of the thing feared. Let’s revisit the pregnant woman who though her child isn’t born yet, she starts believing she’ll never see him or hold him and that one day something will happen that will cause her to miscarry. If she meditates on these thoughts, she can actually bring about the things she fears.
Both fear and faith can manifest from the spiritual plane into the physical realm. This is why it is important that we “do not fear.” This statement is made repeatedly throughout the Word. This is because the Most High knows that when we fear, we are putting our hope in a negative outcome. And if our mind meditates on that negative outcome, it can and will happen.
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
On the other hand, when we have faith, we put our hope in a desired outcome, a positive one.
When we don’t see a desired outcome with our physical eyes, we need to see it with the eyes of the Spirit. Once we have that mental picture, that vision in mind, it is only a matter of time until that thing is materialized or manifested into the physical realm.
If fear, however, clouds your faith or your mental/spiritual vision, you will cripple the manifestation or the realization of the vision.
Therefore, see with the spiritual eyes of faith always, because that is where creation of the good happens, both in this world and in the one to come.
