Love Letter to the Noncommittal
Do you consider yourself an indecisive person? One who refrains from expressing a firm point of view on issues?
Do you find that you give up in situations or relationships whenever they seem impossible?
If so, then you may be a noncommittal person. Those who are noncommittal do not express or show commitment to a definite opinion or course of action. They are often evasive, wary, and on the fence in decisions and expression of their beliefs. One can never truly tell which cause the noncommittal individual supports or is passionate about, because they have nothing to show for it.
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16
The Spirit of Yahuah, through Yahusha, expressed this sentiment concerning the lukewarm, i.e. noncommittal and “on the fence” individual. The Most High would rather you choose to follow Him, or remain in sin. If you are on the fence or evasive, you will be rejected, and on the same path as the children of wrath.
Sometimes you might find yourself avoiding commitment out of fear that things may not work out, and believing you’ll end up losing in the end. However, I posit that you will lose more if you sit in indecision, because you will not progress.
“Commit your way unto Yahuah; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5
Yes, commitment is work, can be strenuous, depending on your perspective, and requires a level of faith. But, if it is a commitment to something you truly love, it may not be a burden at all. If for some reason you feel anxious or fearful, Yahuah is more than able to handle your worries and doubts.
“Casting all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
We need to remain committed to the cause of our Heavenly Father, Yahuah, and that of His Anointed, Yahusha Ha Mashiah. If this relationship is in any way lacking, so also will be our relationships with our fellow man and vice versa.
If you have a commitment issue or are a commitmen- phobe, this says a lot about your relationship with the Most High.
“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.” Matthew 10:39
