The most important journey is the one within

The quest of a lifetime when awareness begins

To get there is a struggle, distractions abound,

Keeping you from yourself, their noise all around

Unlimited subscriptions, instant gratification,

“New” music and “entertainment,” an entire fabrication 

To take you from your own mind and into the world’s,

The mind that never satisfies, emptiness unfurled 

Finally, stopped to wonder, “Will it ever be enough?”

Why you’re not happy, and still in need of more stuff

Being conscious of that much is a step toward the truth 

Toward the core of everything, the very heart of you 

The next step is simple, but may seem daunting

Especially if you find being in solitude haunting

Rising to the challenge as the quiet swells

Alone while you silence everything else

Go into the secret place as the Voice of Truth calls

The still, small Voice, not a shout nor a squall

Whispering words of life, a quickening essence

Reviving the soul, a reforming transcendence 

A posture of reverence fostered as time goes by

Gratitude and humility, healing flowing as you cry

All the Words of Wisdom that Yahuah has said

Storing them up within the crown of your head

Not just your head but the heart of your mind,

The seat of your soul, throne of the Divine

No truer Word did one ever find

Darkness did conquer, falsehood did bind
