Love Letter to the Delusional

Delusion is defined as a false belief or judgment about external reality, held despite undisputed evidence to the contrary, occurring especially in mental conditions.

Snap back to reality …

When you were a child, it was commonplace to believe in tooth fairies, to create imaginary worlds while playing with toys, to believe and hope in the promises of our loved ones. However, with each passing year, with each layer of life, with each broken promise, you soon realized that the fanciful world of your childhood was just that, a passing fancy, a world that never truly existed, a world built on and within a matrix of sorts. Chances are you spent that childhood looking forward to growing up and being able to do those things your parents or guardians constantly denied you. When adulthood finally came however, you were so disillusioned that at times you wished you could go back to your carefree life as a child. Except, there is no escaping the fact that that world doesn’t exist anymore. That it in fact never did.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1 Corinthians 13:11

Instead of attempting to escape your current reality, face it head on. It doesn’t matter how scary or daunting things may seem, do not try to put on rose-tinted glasses to fake the funk.

Face the funk. Step into those troubles with all that you are.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

Reach inside of yourself and search, yes, find the strength that only comes from within. People may fail you, flake on you, and abandon you, but never EVER abandon yourself.

You are love.

Delusion seduces you into expecting others to be there for you and love you when you have not shown up yourself, first. Therefore love yourself, first. Fight for yourself, first.

The one person you spend the most time with is yourself. If you find it hard to love yourself, you will continue in delusion. That being said, it is imperative that you find those things that make you you, and do them. What did you love to do before the world demeaned it? Who were you before you started following people, trends, etc.? Go back to being and loving that person.

The truth is that the whole world is living in delusion and a diabolical sense of escapism; everyone following each other into a deep ditch and pit wherein is no life.

“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works …” Revelation 2:4-5b

Your first love is who you are, hidden in Yahuah and Yahusha, a pure essence of light, unsullied by the world.

“… for, behold, the kingdom of heaven is within you.” Luke 17:21b
