Love Letter to the Miserable

I have heard the phrase “misery loves company” a great deal throughout my life. At this point, it’s become more of a proverb. When someone is miserable, they are constantly unhappy, sorrowful, uncomfortable or downright grumpy. Sometimes they choose to isolate themself. While at other times, they would rather be the parasitic vampire in a room full of positive people, attempting to suck the very life out of the social gathering. No matter the situation, the miserable are in need of a great deal of help.

Oftentimes, I find that the source of misery is dissatisfaction with one’s life or environment. Maybe the one in misery can’t seem to cease comparing themself to others, whether that’s via their current living situation, career, appearance or love life. It could also be a combination of everything, and the individual simply cannot cope with life. Whatever the circumstance, misery is felt from the core of the being.

What the miserable truly need is a mindset shift.

If you are miserable, get by yourself and close off all input from the messages of this world. If you haven’t already, pick up the Word of Yah and read with a yearning to develop a strong relationship with the Most High of heaven and earth.

“Be still, and know that I am Yahuah: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

When you are in solace and feasting on the Word of Yah, He will be exalted in your mind. In Him you will find satisfaction and comfort. This world only brings chaos to your mind and life, but Yah’s Spirit raises a standard against all the flood of the enemy. This flood contains within it the negative thoughts of inadequacy, and a barrage of images and words that constantly attempt to assault your mind with an end target for the destruction of your soul.

The battlefield is your mind. The sooner you understand this, the more equipped you will be. You will understand that the weapons of war are the Word and Will of Yahuah verses the words and ways of this world.

“So shall they reverence the name of Yahuah from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of Yahuah shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

If you ever feel overwhelmed and think you cannot make it out of your own mind, remember, the battle has already been won. And we know who wins in the end.

It’s not this world.

Finally, Yahusha says the following in the book of John:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
