Love Letter to the Restless
“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you restless within me? Hope in Yahuah; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my Elohim.” Psalm 42:11
If your soul is restless, and you find that you have no peace or rest from constantly intrusive thoughts of guilt, anxiety, fear and/or doubt, it is a sign that you are not walking in alignment with Yahuah Sabaoth (the Lord of hosts).
In Psalm 42:11, King David commands his own soul to hope in Yahuah. Hope in Yahuah means to be in right posture with our Elohim. In order to be in right posture, it is imperative that you guard His Laws and Right-Rulings and “be still and know that [He] is El Elyon.” Psalm 46:10
To be still means to be in deep silence and calm, having no movement nor making a sound.
By being still, you are able to hear the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to you and guiding you in the way in which you should go. Like a Lighthouse on the darkest of nights, whose beam offers a steady, strong surge of light for all to see, so is the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The world pulls you toward constant motion, always seeking after novelty and the next thing.
“and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:11b
If you’re out in the world’s cyclical bog, perpetually moving about, you will be consumed by the subtle flood of light pollution. You will forever wander about, growing increasingly ignorant and confused concerning which beam of polluted light to follow. You will begin to believe that these murky lights from the bog-ridden world are taking you somewhere. However, you’ll be unable to perceive their true nature—convoluted webs of deception, whose end is the grave, the lowest sides of the pit.
“Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
Glory be to Yahuah Elohim, Who is the Light of our life. Praises be unto El Elyon, whose Righteous and Holy Spirit draws us towards His Eternal Lighthouse, Yahusha Ha Mashiach, the True Light, showing the way to life. You will find that as you embark on this journey toward rest in Yahuah, the less the noise of this world will be able to distract you.
For the world, there is no peace.
“‘There is no peace for the wicked,’ said Yahuah.” Isaiah 48:22
On the contrary, the children of light are promised peace and rest.
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Adon from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” Revelation 14:13
This “death” that is mentioned in the verse above, refers to the death and burial of the old man, who is replaced with the new creature made alive in the Holy Spirit, through Yahusha Ha Mashiach.
“For I, through the law, died to the law that I might live to Yahuah. I have been crucified with Yahusha Ha Mashiach; it is no longer I who live, but Ha Maschiach lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of Yahuah, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galations 2:19-20
All the darkness and chaos of fear, doubt, anxiety, depression and despair will fade away, having been pierced through by the power and love of our Yahuah Elohim. He is the One dwelling in light unapproachable, in Whose presence darkness scatters and has to flee.
In Yah, you will experience peace and spiritual rest. Anytime the enemy attempts to come in like a flood to cause restlessness of any kind, the Spirit of Yah will raise up a standard against him.
The portion of the children of light, children of the day, is sure.
YAHUAH is our inheritance, shield, and exceeding great reward.
In Him you will find true REST for your soul.
