Love Letter to the Thirsty
The word “thirsty” has come to have two meanings: first, feeling the need to drink something; and second, having a strong desire for something or someone (i.e. to be thirsty for someone’s attention).
We will be looking at both definitions as they pertain to our spiritual life.
When we are thirsty, we are in desperate need of the attention of someone as well as are in need of a drink. That someone and that drink is Yahuah through His son, our Prince, Yahusha Ha Mashiach.
“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahusha stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Yahusha was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39
“Yahuah is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
The Ruah Ha Qodesh (Holy Spirit) is Yahuah, through His Son, Yahusha. His Spirit is the River of living water (the Drink for the thirsty), and Yahuah Himself (the Someone who’s attention we are thirsty for and Whom we are in desperate need of).
Imagine being thirsty and being given murky waters to drink, in which dwell all kinds of Protozoa and creatures of uncleanliness. This is the way of the world. Their lifestyle, lawlessness, and falsehood is the murky water given to the thirsty. I tell you of a truth, many run to drink that murky water upon the risk of certain death. Still others would rather die than be poisoned to death. These latter are the chosen ones, who have been given the ability to see beyond their present discomfort. Though thirsty, they will eagerly seek after clear, pure waters.
If you are one that no longer wishes to risk certain death, this Word is for you. Drink the pure, clean, life-giving water of the Holy Spirit, sent forth from Yahuah to all those who love Him and His Son.
“Behold, Yahuah is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Adon, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” Isaiah 12:2-3
With Yahuah is Light and in Him is no darkness at all. When we allow His Holy Spirit to guide us into all Truth, we are able to serve Him in Truth, which is the manner in which He desires for us to serve Him. Our lives will pass from chaos, darkness and disfunction unto order, light and function. We will do those things that please Him when we guard His Word, Right-Rulings, and Law. His joy will be our strength, and His desire is to give us the Kingdom.
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” Revelation 22:17
“And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.’” Revelation 21:6
Yahuah Elohim alone is kind, and gracious.
The world sells us expensive murky waters, prompting and persuading us to buy our own death. While Yahuah Elohim offers pure, crystal waters of life freely and without price.
It is my prayer that when faced with such a choice, we choose life.
“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Adon Yahuah, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Yahshar’el (Yisrael)?” Ezekiel 33:11
