Love Letter to the Unprepared
“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”
“Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets.” Habakkuk 2:2a
“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
Proverbs 11:14
In anything you need to accomplish in life, it is essential that you plan. Otherwise, you leave yourself open to the spirit of procrastination, resulting in a stagnated life.
Do you work?
When you go to your place of employ, do they not have a set schedule for which you need to accomplish certain tasks?
The same way your boss or supervisor creates a schedule, it is essential you create such for your life. This way you don’t live out a wayward life, meandering through one thing or another and never truly completing any tasks or goals.
“A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:8
If you find that you are procrastinating or do not know how to go about being prepared for life, here are a few action steps:
1. Make a list of goals you would like to accomplish in the next six months.
2. Break the list down into sub-goals that will lead ultimately to your initial list.
3. Further detail a list of doable tasks beneath each sub-goal.
4. Be sure that you fill your monthly calendar with these tasks that can be done in a timely manner.
5. Pray over said calendar.
It is best practice to pray before you even get started with your list of goals.
“Unless Yahuah builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahuah watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm 127:1
“The steps of a good man are ordered by Yahuah: and He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23
Without the stamp of Yah’s approval or presence, all the plans you make are made in vain. Walk in alignment with His Word and trust Him in all things, and He will direct your paths.
“Oh Yahuah, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” Jeremiah 10:23
So if you do not pray and ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and that Yah goes with you, it will be another spirit. The only way for true establishment in your endeavors is that Yahuah go with you in your midst.
Ultimately though, you must make a choice. What is the vision for your life in the foreseeable six months? Ask Yahuah and He will not only reveal it to you but will guide you every step of the way.
I give you a new saying, “If you succeed in planning, you plan to succeed.”
