Love Letter to the Liar
I will begin by assuming the reader knows that a lie is anything outside of Truth. The truth is anything in accordance with fact or reality. When a person lies, they are intentionally communicating a false statement to their listeners.
This individual is what we term a liar.
What is the origin of lying?
Yahusha said the following words when speaking to certain religious leaders of his time:
“You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44
In simple terms, the originator of lies is the enemy of our souls. That is Lucifer, the devil, the dragon, the serpent of old, Satan, and all the names by which he is named.
When you lie, you practice the works of the prince of this world, the wicked one in whom, as Yahusha has stated, there is no truth found. In other words, when this entity opens his mouth, lies come out. And so anyone who lies, practices what the devil does.
Lying is a form of worship, because it is an act born of the lust of the flesh. Whether because of self-preservation or fear, lying comes from wicked intent.
“For Yahuah has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear is not of Yah and self-preservation is driven by ego and not love. Therefore, the one who lies, does so from a wayward spirit.
There is no such thing as a white lie either, just as much as there is no such thing as black truth.
A lie is a lie, just as the truth is truth.
Do not be overcome by the deceptions of this world. There is no such thing as a good lie, or a helpful lie, or “sometimes we have to lie to protect…” Lies do not protect. They blind the eyes and derail destinies.
To be delivered of the delusions of the world, we must tell the truth. For this is born of love.
“An hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” Proverbs 11:9
The knowledge mentioned in Proverbs 11:9 is that of the Word of Yah, of Truth.
That Truth is a salvational one. And just as the Truth delivers and makes free, a lie captures and brings into bondage.
Lies are diabolical.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21
The aforementioned verse has more depth than we realize. Lies bring death, and truth makes alive. In every detail in life, it is important that we are truthful in our communication with those around us. Especially, with the words we utter.
It is of the utmost importance that we tell the truth. If you love your neighbor, your family, friends and those around you, there is no doubt that from this point forward, you will tell the truth and only the truth. Even if there is anxiety regarding it, pray to the Most High to strengthen your faith as you say the truth in love.
Words of lies bring death.
Words of Truth bring life.
Let us strive to utter life with the words we say.
