Love Letter to the Unashamed
What does it mean to be unashamed?
The dictionary definition of unashamed is acting openly without guilt or embarrassment. Therefore the one who has no shame does their will without concern of guilt. Now guilt implies the commission of a specified or implied offense or crime. In other words, the unashamed behaves and does acts that they are oftentimes aware may be offensive or criminal.
Furthermore, one may draw a conclusion here that this type of individual can be ego-driven and concerned with only those things that please them. Everyone else and everything else is a non-factor in their existence.
Ego-driven is just another phrase for the word selfish. One can even say this person sees no one else but themselves, and we can invoke the term narcissistic. Some words that may be often used by such a person are I, me, my and mine.
Without a transformed mind, such an individual is without hope of true change.
If you are the unashamed one reading this letter and you desire a transformed mind unto salvation, there is indeed hope for you.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Yahuah.” Romans 12:2
How can you be transformed and renewed of mind?
Answer: You can be transformed through the Word of Yahuah, humility, and the understanding that you are not an island, but part of a community.
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as Yahuah has dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Mashiah, and every one members one of another.” Romans 12:3-5
I would like to invoke an acronym that was given to me from Yah. That is: L.O.V.E., which means Living for Others Versus Ego.
Before you are able to live a Word-centered and by extension Other-driven over Ego-driven life, you will need the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit of Yahuah.
The gift of the Yah’s Spirit is given through His Word, Yahusha Ha Mashiah, the express image of His person.
“Yahusha said unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.’” John 14:6
Yahusha is the Word of Yah made flesh. Through the Word are we gifted the Holy Spirit, Who then guides us into all truth. It is the Holy Spirit that helps our weaknesses; Who through the Word transforms our minds and brings all contrary thoughts into captivity to the mind of Mashiah.
“Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of Yahuah.” Romans 8:26-27
The solution for the unashamed is a renewed heart (mind), because out of the heart flows the issues of life. It is after the unashamed has been renewed that their behavior and acts toward others will change as a result.
